August 2020

Welcome friend! Check out TNW's upcoming events, features, and more!

This month TNW turned 3! We couldn't have done it without YOU! Thank you for helping us serve over 2,240 neighbors in over 10 communities throughout the D.C. Metropolitan area! As we continue to serve and grow, we are so happy to have you beside us in the journey! We are closer than ever to our mobile shower launch and are excited for our new outreach partnership with the Community Crisis Services, Inc. to serve our neighbors in Prince George's County!
MOBILE SHOWER UPDATES
Our mobile shower program is a critical service for our homeless neighbors now, more than ever. With services for the homeless limited and restaurants and libraries closed our neighbors have even fewer opportunities to maintain good hygiene practices.

Here are ways you can stay involved while staying at home: (1) become a monthly donor, (2) invite your company/organization to become a sponsor or partner, or (3) tell a friend about TNW's Mobile Shower Program

HELP US REACH THE GOAL!!

Thanks to your continuous support, we have $30,500 dedicated to the launch of our Mobile Shower Program. This means we are less than $10k away from purchasing our first trailer!
Thank you for your continued support on this journey to bring the first mobile showers to our homeless and unstably-housed neighbors in the DC Metropolitan Area!

TNW OUTREACH
WE'RE BAAAACCCCCKKKK! We are excited to launch our new outreach initiative in partnership with Community Crisis Services, Inc (CCSI) to serve our neighbors in Prince George's County. During the pandemic, CCSI has played an integral role in the safety of our homeless neighbors by housing them and providing our neighbors with other essential needs, such as food and toiletries. TNW will be serving blessing bags to and fellowshipping with the 200+ neighbors that are sheltered by CCSI. Unfortunately, volunteers will not be able to join us this month, however, we look forward to you all serving with us soon!
Our fellowship knows no limits when it comes to reaching our neighbors. We have served those living in underpasses, parks, train stations, shelters, and motels throughout Maryland and D.C. This year, we will be focusing on Prince George's County because we have partnered with Community Crisis Services, Inc. for outreach events and will be launching our mobile shower here. If you know of an organization  or church serving our vulnerable neighbors within the County that might be in need of TNW's blessing bags, please email info@theneighborhoodwell.org with the subject line: OUTREACH. In the email please include a contact name and email, as well as, the location. We would love to expand our outreach, while maintaining the safety of our volunteers and our neighbors.
Thank you to all of our donors and volunteers for all your support! With your help we were able to serve over 2,200 neighbors in more than 10 communities within the DMV!
Let's keep it going!
