TNW Mobile Shower
Often times we take for granted the value of being able to take a hot shower to get the day started, to freshen up before going to an interview, or as a means of relief after a long day. We believe that our homeless and unstably-housed neighbors should be able to access this basic need for those same reasons. Healthy hygiene habits go a long way towards better health and higher self -esteem. Our prayer is that all those who enter the mobile shower will come out with renewed dignity and hope.
How It Works
Our neighbors will sign up for a time slot of which they will have about 15 minutes to bathe and groom. Each neighbor will receive a towel, washcloth, and other toiletries needed to bathe.
Starting out, the mobile shower will operate twice a month and with the ability to serve about 15 showering guest each time. TNW volunteers will be onsite for the duration of the outreach.

We love to complete the feeling of starting fresh! Each showering guest is provided new undergarments, as well as, new season appropriate clothing.
on-site partnerships
In order to give our neighbors the best experience possible, we would like other organizations to join us on our service days to provide health screenings, grooming services, job resource information, social services, and the like, which our unhoused neighbors desperately need and can benefit from.
What does it mean to be an on-site partner with TNW?
We are asking the you to provide the services that your organization would ordinarily provide, but doing it at the same location that TNW is providing showers. The goal is to create a mobile pop-up space where our unhoused neighbors can get as many resources and as much aid as possible without spending so much time, energy, and money trying to go from one location to the next. There is no minimum or maximum amount of days or locations that your organization must commit to, but of course we would love for you to join us consistently to build relationships and trust with the neighbors we are serving.

Where will we be?
We’ve launched in Prince George’s County and are partnering with churches and community businesses in locations where our neighbors have little or no close access to safe and welcoming places to shower. Church parking lots and park perimeters are our ideal space for the program. We plan to expand out efforts throughout the D.C. Metropolitan Area. Host site partnerships
Our desire is to reach our neighbors where they are…wherever they are. We depend heavily on community partners to host our shower services in areas that are accessible and convenient to the neighbors who need them.
What does it mean to be a host site partner with TNW?
Our ideal host will have a dedication to the wellbeing of our unhoused neighbors, in addition to a safe parking area for the shower trailer for the duration of service, access to a water source, convenient access to public transportation for our neighbors, and a secure storage space for service supplies and equipment.
