MOBILE SHOWER PROGRAM

ONE SHOWER DOWN, MANY MORE TO GO!

On October 9, we launched the Mobile Shower Program! On that day, we were able to provide toiletries and undergarments to two sets of families with small children, as well as, a few individuals. Widows Pantry, a local non-profit, partnered with us to provided breakfast and lunch for our neighbors as well! On October 23, we had our first shower guest (pictured above), who was able to take a warm shower and shave to start his morning! We continue to spread the word in the community to let our neighbors know that we are here to serve them.

Take a look inside the DMV's first mobile shower for our unhoused neighbors. TNW'S Mobile Shower Program is a critical service for our unhoused neighbors now, more than ever. As the number of neighbors experiencing street homelessness increases and services remain limited, our neighbors have even fewer opportunities to maintain good hygiene practices. TNW's mobile shower program will help by providing a refreshing shower experience.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Serve With Us

Join us every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month for our Mobile Shower Program. You can help us set up or break down the service site, distribute hygiene essentials, or chat with our neighbors while they enjoy refreshments. Check out our shower program schedule to sign up to volunteer! Registration is required to volunteer.

Become an On-Site Partner

You or your organization can provide mental health services, health screenings, health insurance assistance, job training/resources, housing resources, meal services, and case management/social services on-site at our Mobile Shower Program
Your organization can provide transportation for our unhoused neighbors to and from the shower program site
Your organization can provide new or gently used clothing on-site at our Mobile Shower Program (Please Note: TNW is unable to accept clothing donations directly due to storage limitations)

You or your company/organization can start a donation drive for new sweatpants for our unhoused neighbors (Sizes M-XL for women and men)
You or your company can become a financial partner by donating on a monthly or quarterly basis (non-monthly/quarterly donations are also welcome!)

Let your unhoused neighbors know that we will be providing showers every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at First United Methodist of Hyattsville from 8 am - 11 am
Spread the word about TNW's mission and services to anyone who may be able to support us
