TNW NEWSLETTER JUNE 2019 Welcome friend! Check out TNW's upcoming events, features, and more!  UPCOMING EVENTS This month we will be providing our neighbors with blessing bags filled with soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, water, a nail file, shower cap, and sanitary napkins. We hope to see you there! Sign up to Serve TNW OUTREACH Our fellowship knows no limits when it comes to reaching our neighbors. We serve those living in underpasses, parks, train stations, shelters, and motels throughout Maryland and D.C. If you are familiar with an area where neighbors are in need of TNW's services, please email info@theneighborhoodwell.org with the subject line: OUTREACH AREAS. In the email please include a location with an estimate of how many neighbors are there regularly. We would love to expand our outreach, while maintaining the safety of our volunteers and our neighbors.  Thank you to all of our donors and volunteers for all your support! With your help we were able to serve over 1,386 neighbors in more than 10 communities within the DMV! TNW FEATURES We love in-kind donations and hope that you keep them coming our way! Here’s a few tips to consider when donating: Items should be small and portable. Most of our homeless/unstably-housed neighbors carry EVERYTHING with them and have expressed that smaller is better. (We donate larger items received to shelters.) Many mouthwash products contain alcohol and some of our neighbors should not be exposed to alcohol; therefore, we try not to provide any product that contains it. Shelters will not accept mouthwash that contains alcohol. Please check the label. Toothbrushes should be individually packaged or have covers; as we want to keep items hygienically protected. This goes for female hygiene products (pads) as well. Toilet tissue is always welcomed! Deodorant is a hot commodity, especially during the summer months.   Thank you for every donation!
